A study abroad experience, whether in a short-term UNIV 392 course or longer-term study abroad semester or year, is a requirement for the Global Studies Major and Minor programs. We think that success – personally, intellectually, and professionally - requires people to analyze and interact on a global level.
An international education is one of the best ways for students to build global competence. Study Abroad is being recognized as a necessary part of higher education, providing students with a well-rounded and global undergraduate education.
A study abroad experience can help students:
- Develop new perspectives on academic subjects and real-world issues
- Achieve proficiency in a foreign language
- Experience personal growth
- Develop valuable career skills
CI’s International Programs office is your primary resource for learning about the longer-term experiences.
